The Theme Editor is a great way to personalize your Reaper experience. There are a variety of themes available for download, or users can create their own. The Reaper Theme Editor is a powerful and flexible tool that allows users to customize the look and feel of their Reaper interface. There is no one definitive answer to this question. Other options include adding padding or placing the routing button near the record enable, but unless the images are customized, they appear a little off. The Transport section is much more difficult to edit than this. In the then section, simply move the order in which the TCP is written to the desired position. Once you’ve moved the transport buttons around, you’ll need to edit them all to adjust the drop shadows. All of this is difficult, but it is not impossible. In the Transport, we define which buttons must be placed first, then we place all of them in their positions. There will most likely be strange consequences if we save and reload the theme at this time. You can also copy and save them from other themes or from the reaper stash. The meter_strip files can be used to obtain complete control over the meter colors. Custom icons can be found in the theme folder for the lock and metronome buttons on the main toolbar. The reason some toolbar buttons do not have border is that they are in the data/toolbar icons folder. Once you’ve done that, go to Options > Preferences > Appearance. Simply choose the theme you want to use and move it into the REAPER directory. This will open up the folder where REAPER’s themes are stored. To change the theme in REAPER, go to Options > Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder. If you’re bored with the default look of REAPER, or if you want it to better match the look of your other software, you can change the theme.
